Q.

#asktheexpert hi my 10month old had fever since wednesday (ranging between 100.4-103) and from evening mainly the fever spike.. we went to the doc yesterday and it was told she is having viral infection.. how long this viral infection last? she is very exhausted , crying & irritated… whole night we are worried and she is crying and not able to sleep..

A. they can last up to 5 days and sometimes up to 7 days but after 3 days you may have to go for blood investigations to confirm whether the same medicines has to be continued or some other add on will be required
