Q.

#asktheexpert hi mam My son is 5 years old.. he weighs about 14 kg.. . please guide us (about food) for his weight gain

A. it is important to follow the following points and the maximum milk you can give per day is 500 ml and after that you have to give at least One Katori of rice product 1 Katori of Dal product 1 Katori of wheat product and 1 Katori of vegetable everyday to the child and at least two fruits every day to the child and you can make anything any recipe from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits and by giving this daily you will be providing adequate nutrition to the child you can I add ghee groundnuts dryfruits in the diet and this will help in improving the weight of the child you can also give non-veg diet to the child

A. Hi There is no specific food that I can tell you you should give to the child a balanced nutritious diet is very important were you club protein fat carbs and fibre together and you give a balanced diet to the child but still if you feel that you are not able to figure it out on your own then please consult a nutrition expert for that
