Q.

#asktheexpert Hi mam, my baby is 6 months old and she is a preemie. we are consulting her in the ROP section of Hospital since her birth. 2 days ago the eye specialist prescribed an ointment named Atropine sulphate and told me to apply her eyes 3 days at 2 times. while using the ointment her eye became a kind of swollen and puffy. is this normal?

A. yes due to medicine whenever you are taking any medicine which has been given by your doctor you have to wait and watch for three days and follow the instructions given by the doctor and if there is no improvement after three days then take a follow up. so kindly take a follow up with your doctor who will tell you whether any change in medicine or any other investigation is needed or not .
