#asktheexpert hi madam when will my baby return to her original skin tone? she got jaundice on 4th day and was adviced to keep under photolight for 2 days. and she started changing her color after 11 days. is the skin tone change due to phototherapy or the baby is changing her skin tone to her original color or what. lease help me understand

Swatee DasMom of a 6 yr 2 m old boy12 months agoA. It is quite normal all babies change their skin tone after 10-15 days of birth and nothing to do with the photo light . I can say about my son get his original birth colour after 6 months . Give a proper massage daily with non-stick oil like Johnson's Baby Oil . It is enriched with vitamin E and good for babies.

See the colour of the child is completely based on the genetics of the child right so once your child completes the age of 6 to 8 months you would rather be more certain about the colour complexion that your child is going to take and that is what is going to be the original complexion of your child
