Q.

#asktheexpert Hi, I have delivered my baby boy on Jan 5 and the flow lasted for 20 days. After a week or 10 days , I started seeing brownish spotting occassionally for 10 days.After that I got my period and the flow is heavy compared to my previous periods before delivery. Is this normal or needs a consultation

A. It is normal. The first few cycles after giving birth will be heavy and also painful but if you’re having to change one pad or more per hour then consult your doctorWrite Your Answer Here

Q. Hi, I had a normal delivery on 5th October 2022, post that in November I had spotting on 12th November which lasted for 5 days. Then on 2th December I again had spotting which lasted for 5 days and my period started on 27th December (same month) with heavy flow which I believe was normal. Period lasted for 7 days. Then on 12th Jan I again had spotting and on 27th December spotting again both lasted for 5 days. What can be the reason for this? I even consulted gynaecologist for this and got TVS done but everything looked fine. Then why 2 times spotting in same month which I am unable to understand.

Q. Hi doctor I delivered a baby girl on December 1st. After the delivery I had bleeding till Jan 10th 2022. Though the flow was not heavy it lasted for 40 days. I have bleeding for almost 25 days and again stoped for 10 days and again had bleeding for 10 days. after that I got period on Dec 21 again on Jan 18 again on Feb 20.
