#AskTheExpert hi gm...my baby is 1.5months old..he is having too much cold n unable to breathe properly..pls could u suggest me any medicine

Sourabh KumarOjhaGuardian of a 4 yr old girl3 years agoA. Same here. My daughter is of only 1 month and she had cough and cold. she also had conjunction due to which she could not breathe properly. we consult a doctor immediately and he suggested to admit her.
After testing we found that her SPO2 level was around 75 which is low. She hospitalized for 4 days and now she is better.
So, please check SPO2 level of Baby by using oximeter to toe and use nasal spray for blocked nostril.
Baby of 1 or 2 months are unable to say anything so, please observe them very closely. If you found he/she is not breastfeeding properly or looking sleepy all the time consult your doctor immediately.

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. baby is only one of month Cold and cough in the babies are because of viral infections which will take at least five to six days time to subside it is advisable to do steam inhalation frequently to liquefy the secretions as well put nasoclear saline drops in the nose of the baby
