Q.

#AskTheExpert Hi DR. we couldn't give 3rd month vaccine to baby due to second wave. now baby is 6 months, now should we start give 3rd month vaccine or start from 6 th month vaccine.

A. Vaccination needs to be given to child only when the present covid situation becomes favourable and under full safety precautions.if there is any delay it will not have any adverse effect but mandatory vaccinations specially under one year of age should be on the priority list followed by optional vaccine later on .due to strict pandemic situation,in such coindition most important vaccinahgtion should be given on priority which your doctor will decide. Influenza vaccine should be given to children above 6 months of age in this season if not given to avoid unnecessary hospitalisation and other risk factors because of flu infection.it is repeated after one year as a booster dose.

A. good morning definitely I would recommend that you should try to get all the vaccination is done for the child which were missed initially and then you can get the remaining vaccines done after another 10-15 days
