#asktheexpert Hi Doctor, My baby is 1 year and 7 months old. He had stomach pain yesterday morning and after sometime he had breakfast and he was alright but from today morning he is suffering from loose stools. He went for many times around 10-14 times today but as very little loose stools. Since he went many times he feels pain in his back and starts crying. please advise what can be given for this loose stools. Thank you

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 19 months old and he is having loose motions with pain in his tummy so give him ORS and econorm sachets two time a day and coconut water too

Hello ma’am Avoid giving any kind of milk to the child for the time being give banana and curd on room temperature to control lose motions apart from that give really good amount of water or acid zinc tablets to maintain hydration in the body and do consult your doctor ones as it could be due to stomach infection as well
