Q.

#AskTheExpert hi doctor, my baby is 1 month old... breastmilk is not sufficient for her. do i can manage with formula milk in between breast milk. if yes , shall i give similac powder

A. How do you know that the milk is not sufficient for the baby? If the baby’s passing urine more than six times per day and is sleeping at the end of breast-feeding session then it means that the baby is getting enough milk. If the doctor diagnoses less milk supply only then you formula. You can give breastmilk and formula milk alternatively or which ever is ready at hand to youWrite Your Answer Here

A. you can discuss it with doctor. see more you can ask your own treating doctor. i am sure they will solve all your doubts and guide youyou can show the baby to a pediatric doctor who will check and find the right diagnosis and treat well

A. hi yes you may offer formula but as breastmilk is best for babies ,here I suggest some tips to increase it ,hope it help: please offer plenty of feeds, because the more your child latches, the more milk is produced. massage your breasts with coconut oil it will help to stimulate milk glands . you can take leptadin tablet or shatavary granular with warm milk in 2 tbsp quantity, twice a day.
