#AskTheExpert Hi Doctor, my baby boy is almost 2 months now. There is a little bulge on his left arm. Could you please confirm it is due to vaccination or could it be an insect bite or something else? We hadn't noticed this kind of bulge on the day of vaccination (second day after his birth).

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. bcg vaccination which is given at birth in the upper arm will form a swxelling by one or maximum two months and then it will burst open and then pus will come out from it and after that it will become a scar mark.
you have to take medical consultation if it days causing pain fever and discomfort to the child.
also if the pus discharge is increasing or aggravating again you have to meet the doctor and locally you can apply t bact cream
