#AskTheExpert HI doctor, can we take se salt for 9 months old baby?? if yes please let me the quantity to be used in each meal

A. Yes you can start adding salt in meals of thebaby and add in moderate quantity just to add flavour to the food as bland foods are not liked by babies

A. hello... There's no need to add salt to your baby's food. Babies need only a very small amount of salt: less than 1g (0.4g sodium) a day until they are 12 months. Your baby's kidneys can't cope with more salt than this... try giving bland food itself
