#AskTheExpert Hello sir, my 11 months old baby has hard wax buildup in her ears should we consult a doctor or is it normal?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. you have to clean the ears of the child only externally with cotton cloth.
do not use anything like earbuds to clean the internal ear.
this will only do more harm as wax will get impacted inside deep and will cause more problem.
if you feel that the child is having some prdoblems in the internal ear then kindly meet your doctor for examination.x
if the child is having wax problem and not improving with drops you have to get it removed with the help of your ent doctor.

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and it is better to evaluate once your baby with local child doctor in person as it is very difficult to say anything about it without personally examination.
