#AskTheExpert Hello sir, Good morning..... am a mom of 4 year old daughter... I have a doubt regarding the pneumococcal vaccination and Influenza vaccination given to kids in regard to 3rd wave covid.... Should I get it done for my little one tooo sir. Or is there any other precaution vaccination that can be given.

A. yes can be given bith to baby. Covid 19 is a viral infection and mostly transmitted by air and droplets . Symptoms are similar in kids also. So wear mask properly and maintain social distance . Also sanatizing and hand washing will help to prevent covid 19 infection .

A. Yea it's safe to get it done pneumococcal vaccine protects against infections like pneumonia/ear infection/meningitis caused by this specific bacteria and rotavirus protects against a common cause of diarrhoea in babies. Both are optional but strongly recommended. It's good to give all vaccines to your kid. It's safe always.
