Q.

#asktheexpert hello my son who will be 16 months old after 7 days, is not still walking independently....with the help of sofa and other things he is able to walk....but without any support he can't walk...his weight is 11 kg....sitting in W position...crawling properly....but we are very tensed about his walking

A. dear mum , by 18 mths children begin to walk without support but it can vary from child to child provide opportunities for child to pull up n hold on to things offer praise n encouragement avoid walker

A. Okay first of all you need to get rid of this W position it actually hampers the legs of the child so that’s very bad you should avoid that make your choice either cross leg position or front leg should be in front and if by the time of 17 pull it off to 18 months maximum of the child does not learn to walk independently then it would be a delay in the process
