#asktheexpert Hello, my mother in law says that while bathing a baby, head and face should Not be washed first. it increases the risk of heart attack in a baby. is it true? my baby is 3.5 months old and I've been pouring water indirectly with my palms only and wash her face in similar way. is it not okay? please help.

A. you should always wipe your baby head and face with clean wet hands. pouring water directly can cause water entering to ears and nose resulting in stuffy nose causing irritability and difficulty in breastfeeding

A. there is loss of scientific proof and reason behind this it could be a myth however from now onwards it is advisable to avoid doing that first make sure that you give the whole bath and wash the face towards the end
