Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello. My daughter is 2 months old. I give her only breastfeeding. But even after 3 to 3.5 hrs gap she takes milk for just 5 minutes maximum and then starts pushing breast away. I am very tensed. How will this meet her nutritional requirements. Plz help me..

A. It is most likely due to fast flow of milk which will cause the baby not being able to handle it. Make sure that you use your fingers as scissors and control the flow of the milkWrite Your Answer Here

A. But If your child is full for about three hours after taking the breast feet for 5 to 7 minutes then I think your child is doing a good enough job to take the feed properly maybe you’re flow is also good and your child is able to suck properly and fast which is why your child is tummy is full in five minutes so need not worry about it
