Q.

#AskTheExpert hello my baby is six months old. I have started giving him few spoons of moong dal & squash/ papaya soup twice a day.. can u suggest other options and how to increase the quantity

A. hello. Give vegetables (eg pumpkin, potato, sweet potato, carrot puree) fruits (eg cooked pears/apple, ripe banana) . Moong Daal water, rice kangi. Ragi porridge, rice porridge. home made cerelac, suji porridge.

A. Apart from these foods, you can also feed mixed vegetable soup, mashed banana and boiled potato, ragi and sooji porridge, watery khichdi, apple, pear and carrot puree, home made cerelac, etc. Feed 4-6 spoons per serving and twice a day. From 7th month, you can start feeding thrice a day and also increase the quantity slowly.
