#AskTheExpert Hello Mam, Good Morning, My child is just 35days old. Several times he Hiccup. Is it normal or should we go for any medication ?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach.
during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomach which irritates leading to hiccups.
you have to offer feeding as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a self limiting problem

it is normal so no need to worry about this matter
please always feed your child in tilted position and keep in up ward position after every feed
please give daily massage with Babyhug massage oil
