#asktheexpert Hello.. Hicks mercury thermometer (oval) accidentally broke off on the floor in baby's room.. tip is broken but unable to trace the tip.. is tip made up of steel or breakable particles? Also, anything to worry about this? please advise.

A. Thank you.. How to clean the room? with normal water? and tip is made of steel? unable to find steel tip.

A. Mercury vapour rises in the room so it is not a good thing to have it in the room you should clean it properly and you should try to trace the tip
