#asktheexpert hello dr. my baby is 5 mnth old she doesn't do potty clearly she always cry when she poops and some times she doesn't poop for 3 or 4 days she cries a lot what to do dr.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. normally hardness of the stool is not seen when you are giving only breastfeeding to the child.
it is advisable to continue only breastfeeding and nothing else till completion of 6 months of age.
if still the hard stool continues you have to visit the doctor to find the cause.
but if you are giving formula milk then there is a possibility that the milk is not properly dsigested by the child and you will have to change the brand of formula milk.
also do not give adny food to the child except milk at this age.
