#asktheexpert Hello Dr., My baby girl is almost 2 years now and she is only saying one letters words like mamma, papa and so on. I wanted to ask what is the ideal period when she will start saying more more words..

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist11 months agoA. If you feel that there is speech delay, then I would suggest you to consult for a basic analysis with the speech therapist, or even your pediatrician. Then you will get a clear idea because a detailed examination is compulsory.

Ankita MehtaMom of a 10 yr 1 m old girl11 months agoA. hi between the age of 2 to 3 years kids learn to speak more. they listen and pick out words from us and try to pronounce them so , keep interacting with your child more show different objects and try to have a talk about it with your child.
