#AskTheExpert Hello Dr My almost one year old puts almost everything in his mouth and also pulls the objects sometimes from the teeth he has 3 teeth so far. and also I understand that his gums itch . can you please advice what can I do to soothe this and also how to avoid him putting everything in his mouth. thank you

A. you can massage your baby's gums with a clean cotton cloth and give silicone teether to chew on them this is the aural reflex of a child to put everything in the mouth and most of the children stop doing that by the age of 18 months you can gently say no to your child and put the hand out but do not force or scold the child

A. Hi dear mom To avoid putting everything in mouth, give ur baby teethers as they put pressure on gums and give relief to baby from pain and itching during teething. #Babyhug teethers are BPA free and non toxic. U can buy these teethers for ur baby
