#AskTheExpert hello doctor please provide some advice for post partum weight loss. my lil one is 7 months old and I'm trying hard to shed my baby weight.

A. Dear mum, for post partum weight loss, you should eat mindfully. Avoid foods which are high in calories, processed and packaged foods. Have a homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups. Have all seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. Have lean proteins like eggs, beans, pulses, low fat milk and milk products. Have healthy fats from almonds, flaxseed. Have small frequent meals and adequate fluid intake. Exercise for 45 to 60 minutes every day and have an active lifestyle.
