#asktheexpert Hello Doctor, Nidhi here my son Daksh who is almost 4 years old is always suffering from cough and cold after giving medicines also as per doctor prescription little improvement is there but once we stop giving medicines after finishing those medicines,he again start suffering from cough & cold. I being a mother of toddler is always worried for him & don't give him much junk or outside food still he affected to cold & cough

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy10 months agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small children.can give indirect steam inshalation . anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation. for fever and pain give paracetamol continue the regular diet which is being given to the child
