Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello doctor,My son is 2 years old..I noticed redness near anal region(not bumps),it's been a month.I applied ointment and coconut oil as well,but no use..I maintain hygiene and I don't prefer diaper except night time (since 1 week I stopped night time also) but no use..He is active and not feeling much discomfort..really worried about that redness .Please help me

A. Apply candid cream or calamine lotion before putting diaper or cloth nappy. Avoid rubbing excessively while cleaning the affected area.if the rash is persistent, in spite of this ointment and if the rash spreads to different areas, visit a paediatrician for clinical examination.
