Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello doctor, my lil one is 2 years old.. she is constipated from the time she is given solids.. even though i give her enough water and fibre foods.. she is constipated then. when i go to doctors, they gave her free motion syrups like duphalac. even then there is no difference. could you please help with this reason? thanks in advance

A. Constipation is a very common problem seen ,for which diet modification is necessary .one should give high fibres and plenty of iof liquids to the child .avoid food having maida and even too much of milk on daily basis.do not give banana also very frequently. Any kind of medication specially in all children, is a secondary option to be given only under medical advice.
