#AskTheExpert hello doctor .my daughter is 1 year 2 month old ..she has got lot of redness on her bump due to diaper rash . Im using dermaseal ointment.how many days will it take n is the baby uncomfortable becoz of this ?

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. avoid wetness.See when baby has any new complain then better avoid any self medication. Show to a doctor for right and timely diagnosis and treatment. Thays a safe procedure.See for any type of skin lesions do not assume to be anything .its always better to show to a specialist online or offline and get the right treatment started in time .ok

Jasmine KaurMom of a 9 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. Hello dear parent, if Uou Wil apply the ointment as directed by the doctor, those rashes Wil last only for 2 days. And baby will feel good after that.
Try and avoid making baby wear diaper during the day time. And use good brands like Babyhug, Chicco, pampers etc.
And must change the diaper in every 6 hours
