#asktheexpert hello doctor my baby is 1 month old he is a pre term baby taken birth in 33rd week of pregnancy with 2kg weight . my question is that he is not taking milk directly from mother breast or take very occasionally , milk supply is sufficient and we use to express milk for him and he takes very quickly with feeding bottle. plz suggest how he will take directly from mother breast..

A. Okay so when you’re feeding your breast press your breast with your hand for easy easy flow of the milk despite of having good amount of milk sometimes when a premature child is there they do not have very good latching capacity and they get tired very fast but with a bottle feeding it’s very easy for them that’s why they prefer feeding over a breast feeding
