Q.

#asktheexpert hello doctor, is it healthy to give cerelac to six month old baby? It's ingredients contain milk solids and sugar which I've read should not be given to babies below 1 year. Also, without mild salt/ sugar my baby doesn't like to eat food which is bland like vegetable soup, curd porridge etc.. Is it ok to give mild pink salt/ sugar?

A. Hi mom Avoid giving packed food. These are high in sugar and calories and contains preservatives and artificial flavours which are not good for babies.. Give freshly prepared homemade cerelac to ur baby. Or u can also give khichdi, ripe banana, apple puree, raagi porridge, pumpkin puree etc. Yes a pinch of salt and sugar can be added
