#AskTheExpert Hello Doctor I have an query regarding my newborn baby. She is 22 days old and when I breastfeed my baby she shakes her head to left right side and sometimes uo and down also. Is it normal in newborn baby?

A. the baby mostly shakes head when baby is not in a comfortable position to feed , so you should have a comfortable position in which the baby is able to latch properly and so that taking the feed also properly

A. Shaking head when nursing As your baby gets the hang of latching on, the shaking may then be a result of excitement. While your baby might be gaining neck muscles and is able to shake side to side when nursing, you should still support their head for at least the first three months.
