Q.

#asktheexpert Hello doctor, after feeding during night times, how much time should we hold baby on shoulder and try for a burp ? What if a burp doesn't come ? Do we need to hold until baby burps or should we hold upright for sometime and then make her sleep ?

A. Just try to put the baby on the shoulder and you can wait even up to half an hour for the burp to come. If the baby is sleeping spontaneously, then you can let her be,but try to keep the upper half of the body at a relatively higher level,
