Q.

#AskTheExpert hello doc, I have query regarding breastmilk production and periods....is there any connection between both....I am getting very light periods for last 2 months and breastfeeding too....my baby is 3 months old..should I consult my gyno or wait till I am exclusively breastfeeding....will it get regular and proper after I stop breastfeeding ?

A. there could be a slight dip in your breast milk production when you get your periods and it's ok if you are getting cycles but make sure that you keep using some contraceptive measure
