Q.

#asktheexpert Hello br. I was not able to breastfeed my daughter so I was pumping as much as I can. but milk was low like 3 to 4 feeds only. I did that till 5 half month but my milk reduced alot after that now she is 8 months old andy milk supply is completely stopped. so can you tell me how can regain my milk supply or what else I can give with formula milk and solid food to full fill his breast milk nutrients requirements.

A. Breastmilk secretion increases with demand. So the more and more you feed, the more it will secrete. You can consult with ur gynaecologist and get galact granules or other such supplements prescribed. Include garlic, fenugreek and other water vegetables like bottle gourd in ur diet. If non veg try to include sura puttu. If breastfeeding is not possiblr dont worry. Formula is the closest thing that can support your babys nutritious requirrments.
