#AskTheExpert h Hi sir. My baby boy was not holding her mother milk, he is able to take with the support of nippal shield, we are trying to removing that shield but he is crying like anything.. please help me to how to habituate to remove the nipple shiled and hold the breastfeed directly. tq

Breastfeeding is the best source of natural immunity and antibodies to a newborn baby never give formula milk as it is not required at all exclusive breastfeeding is a must for good immunity and baby health , reduces colic and gas issues and overall brain development of the baby. No water , ghutti or any other syp is given till 6 months of age .

If the nipples are inverted or flat then the baby might face difficulty in latching. That is why nipple shield is recommended.
U can buy babyhug nipple shield which is BPA free and non toxic.
U can try without nipple shield when the baby is deep sleep.
