Q.

#asktheexpert got a BCG vaccine for my child 5 months back. The vaccinated area is swollen and a week back there was puss oozing out. my child also complaints about the area being sore in her arm. kindly advice what should be done

A. bcg vaccination which is given at birth in the upper arm will form a swelling by one or maximum two months and then it will burst open and then puxs will come out from it and after that it will become a scar mark. you have to take medical consultation if it days causing pain fever and discomfort to the child. also if the pusx discharge is increasing or aggravating again you have to meet the doctor and locally you can apply t bact cream.

A. hi yes it happens after BCG Vaccination try cool pack there it will help to reduce the swelling, redness and pain dress your child in loose fitting Cotton clothes
