#asktheexperts My baby is 45 days old. From last week, she has got a blister/wound in her arm at the BCG vaccinated area, and had puss come out of it. Can you kindly clarify whether it is normal, doctor?

A. bcG vaccine will heal and its so nothing to worryfor further advise and information in this regard it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination physically and if all required any investigations also and proper management

A. bcg vaccination which is given at birth in the upper arm will form a swelling by one or maximum two months and then it will burst open and then pus will come out from it and after that it will bezcome a scar mark. you have to take medical consultation if it days causing pain fever and discomfort to the child. also if the pus discharge is increasing or aggravating again you have to meet the doctor and locally you can apply t bact cream.
