#AskTheExpert good morning Dr. my son is 5year old he has taken 5days antibiotic course for cough and cold but now after 3 days he is still coughing please suggest what to do sir.....

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to bte treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitusrsives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

NikithaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. hello kid being small this requires a proper medical attention and it would be better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better and use instant cold releif rub from Babyhug
