#AskTheExpert Good morning doctor...my baby is 4 months old...few dry white patches appeared on his face when he was 2 months old...most of them disappeared by using powder on his face but one irregular white colored patch has appeared on lower left side of his abdomen...what may be the reason

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. we can not imagine like. you have to do a few more tests and a scan after a local doctor advice for proper treatmentyou can show the baby to a pediatric doctor who will check and find the right diagnosis and treat well

it happens because of many reasons like dry skin, nutritional deficiency, infection etc.
so please consult your pediatrician for proper evaluation.
dress your child in weather appropriate clothes.
keep your child in well vantileted room
give massage to your child daily.
but always rinse oil well while bathing your child.
don't use soap while bathing your child.
don't give bath for more than 10 minutes.
Maintain good hygiene
