For a 4-month-old baby with fever, cold, and cough for the past two days, here’s what you can do: Home Remedies & Care: Monitor Fever: If the fever is above 100.4°F (38°C), consult a doctor immediately. Use a lukewarm sponge bath to reduce fever. Saline Nasal Drops: Use saline drops to clear nasal congestion and help the baby breathe better. Steam Therapy: Run a hot shower and let the baby inhale the warm steam for a few minutes to loosen mucus. Breastfeeding: If breastfeeding, feed frequently to keep the baby hydrated and boost immunity. Mustard Oil Massage: Warm mustard oil with garlic and gently massage the baby’s chest, back, and feet for relief. When to See a Doctor? If fever lasts more than 3 days or goes above 100.4°F. If the baby has difficulty breathing, refuses feeds, or looks very weak. If there is wheezing or persistent cough. For such young babies, do not give home remedies without a doctor’s advice. If symptoms persist, consult a pediatrician immediately. Let me know if you need more help!
