Q.

#asktheexpert Due to serious covid pneumonia I had to deliver my daughter at 31 weeks gestation and I couldnt see her till one month. due to this I couldnt give her breast milk and she is on formula. .I have tried many home remedies but couldnt increase breast milk. .can to you suggest any ways to increase prolactin?. .I have even tried nursing her every 2 hrs. .but she could not nurse properly as she sleeps for around 16hrs. .

A. See Not everyone can produce sufficient lactation no matter how hard you try so if you’re not producing sufficient amount for milk for your child then you continue with formula feeding only since your child is approximately three months now and your child is completely satisfied with formula milk then in my opinion it would be best for you to continue with the same only
