#AskTheExpert does diarrhea cause lactose intolerance? N mother cannot breast feed the baby if he has it?

A. the child is having some lactose intolerance or loose motion it is advised to consult your doctor at once for a proper assessment of the child and the doctor will guide you accordingly regarding this

A. Hello Ma’am It is not recommended to give any milk to the child if your child has diarrhoea because it increases the number of loose motions but definitely does not make a child lactose illtolerant because of that.. So if your child has diarrhoea please do not give milk and start giving curd and banana to control lose motions and do consult your paediatrician ones regarding the same
