#AskTheExpert Doctor, my son is 13 months. He still refuses to chew and gags on small pieces of mashed banana as well. When will they start chewing?

A. your baby needs still time to understand but i suggest you to feed roughly mashed food. during meal time Try making her sit at one place and keep her occupied with something. Try to distract baby by singing fav rhymes /stories . Initially start with very small quality and gradually increase the quantity. encouraging him to eat on his own.

A. hello it is normal and it can take some time and you can encourage your child and also slowly try to change the consistency day by day and this way the baby will get used to it which is absolutely nothing to worry and soon the child will get used to it
