#AskTheExpert doctor baby is 7 months old and 7.16 weight is the weight gain sufficient can we do something to increase the weight..pls suggest

A. Hi, the weight seems to be good. Usually baby will get double the birth weight by six months and triple the birth weight by one year. Once baby complete six month you can start giving semisolid food like vegetable purée and fruit purée, porridge. Make sure there is a gap of four hours between each solid feed and two hours of gap between to give liquid feed.Make your own timetable so that you can cover different type of veggies, fruits. Avoid citric fruits, dry fruits, honey, salt and sugar and corn milk until baby completes one year.
