#asktheexpert Do babies cry before and after passing urine? is it normal? What is the solution to this?

A. Hi All..Thanks for the reply..I have one more query..My baby passes urine in 2-3 parts..like if he is doing urination now..within 5 minutes he will do it again and will cry both the times..is it normal?

A. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age. sometimes this can continue for one year of age also. it usually occurs due to the distenztion of the urinary bladder and rectum of the child. the sensation is new for the child that's why the child is crying if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pedizatrician for examination.

A. For initial six months you can see the situation where the child cries a lot when they urinating and that’s considered very normal and common for them in this situation is absolutely nothing for you to be worried
