#asktheexpert Do babies cry before and after passing urine? is it normal? What is the solution to this?

Author of questionMom of a 1 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hi All..Thanks for the reply..I have one more query..My baby passes urine in 2-3 parts..like if he is doing urination now..within 5 minutes he will do it again and will cry both the times..is it normal?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age. sometimes this can continue for one year of age also. it usually occurs due to the distenztion of the urinary bladder and rectum of the child. the sensation is new for the child that's why the child is crying if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pedizatrician for examination.
