one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of nutrients essential for growth.
any kind of ignfection specially any chronic infection should be ruled out and treated which ftgmay hamper the growth otherwise.
after 2 years of age you can give some powder like kids Pro/ prohance junior mix in milk twice a day for one or two months.

if ur child is active and playful then no need to worry about weight much.
Give all that you cook for ur family.
Add some of the weight gaining food like egg ghee dry fruits,dairy products like paneer curd cheese,banana shake potatoes rice avocado ragi chicken etc in ur kids diet for weight gain
