A. Yes, the cervical cancer vaccine (HPV vaccine) is recommended to help protect against human papillomavirus (HPV), which can cause cervical cancer. It is best taken before becoming sexually active, ideally between the ages of 9 and 14 years, but it can be given up to age 26 or sometimes beyond, depending on individual health and doctor’s advice. The vaccine is usually given as two or three doses over 6 months. Consult your healthcare provider for the best timing and schedule based on your age and health status.
