#AskTheExpert can MMR vacchine be delayed for one month. also is there any severe side affects of MMR vaccine which is reqd to be given on 9th month

A. no problem 1momth delay is acceptable generally At 9months of age  Ur baby will have  OPV  MMR  Typhoid conjugate vaccine  MMR vaccination should be given it following time  First dose at 9 months of age  Second dose at 15 months of age  And booster dose at 5 yrs of age.  All doses are mandatory  These are not optional vaccines  Shoud be given at the proper time.  Typhoid conjugate vaccine ie typhbar TCV  Should be given at 9months of age  And second dose should be given at 2yrs of age  These are optional vaccines  But always better to give  It will protect ur baby from typhoid fever.

A. good morning there is no problem in postponement of any vaccination by a couple of weeks there is no harm as such but definitely it will be better if you are able to get all the vaccinations on a timely basis
