Being an Ayurvedic pharmacist , I assure you that Ashwagandha leaves are not used anywhere and there is no mention of it's benefits in ayurveda..

Its roots are helpful in weight gain and leaves help in weight loss. The plant has varied benefits apart from this as well.

Ashwagandha roots , after proper treatment , are considered very beneficial as per ayurveda.

But leaves of it should not be consumed .
walk more
Take sunbath daily
Ear couple of bites less than what you really want to
Practice yogasana and upvasa
Take millets more than cereals and pulses
