#AskTheExpert can I have Azithromycin for throat infection while breastfeeding also my baby's birth weight was 2.3kg, is it advisable to give multivitamin and calcium for the baby?

A. ma'am azithromycin is an antibiotic. you will have to take the entire course if you start once without missing any dose. only if your gynaecologist or pediatrician has prescribed it then you can take under their supervision. your baby is very small. if you are breastfeeding then you must be very cautious begire taking any medicine.
