#asktheexpert baby weight is not gaining 5month and weight is only 3.5 kg

A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding. meet the doctor for weight asserssment. if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake. if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about the sleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child

A. You should start giving formula feeding to the child I think with the feeding that you’re offering a child is not gaining any weight because this is extremely underweight for five month old child you have to start with powder milk please consult your doctor for this
